State and Local Policy and Law
We are going to focus this topic on the recent proposed AI legislation at the state level.
Assignment 1
Let’s first read an overview of why state and local municipalities are starting to do AI legislation. I am unaware that the City of Norman is doing any but I’d be glad to add that to the reading, if someone knows of any such pending policies or legislation!
In September 2023, the Oklahoma Governor created a taskforce to study AI and emerging technologies and they made recommendations in December 2023.
